Megan Lewis
Owner and President
Megan Lewis brings over fifteen years of experience in independent school education to her role as owner and president of Team Tutors. She spent more than a decade teaching at The John Thomas Dye School in Los Angeles, where she worked closely with students and families in a rigorous academic environment with high expectations and a strong emphasis on individualized learning. In addition to her work in the classroom, she served in leadership roles that involved curriculum development, mentoring teachers, and partnering with families to support each child’s growth.
Throughout her career, Megan has worked with advanced learners, students needing extra support, and those preparing for competitive school admissions and standardized tests. Her experience in a rigorous academic environment has given her a strong understanding of the expectations families face and the level of instruction students need to succeed.
Megan joined Team Tutors in 2025. She is committed to continuing the tradition of providing highly personalized, professional academic support with a focus on careful tutor matching, strong communication with families, and customized instruction.
Megan has a California Teaching Credential and an M.A. in Education from Loyola Marymount University. She lives locally with her husband and two children and spends her weekends at tee-ball, swim, playdates, and birthday parties (haven't we all?)
Nathalie Kunin
Founder and Strategic Advisor
Nathalie Kunin founded Team Tutors in 2000 to provide students with one-on-one tutoring and comprehensive test preparation in their own homes. She works closely with students of all ages as well as many private and public school administrators throughout Los Angeles and beyond.
Nathalie received her Bachelor's Degree at UCLA, and completed her Master's
Degree in Education at Cal State Los Angeles. She taught for five years at the
Center for Early Education, where she also served as president of the Parent
Association and as a member of the Board of Trustees. Nathalie has served on various Boards over the years including the Board of Common Sense Media, Los Angeles Council and the Board of Parents Education League LA.
Nathalie consults privately with parents about preschool through high school
academic issues. She helps families make smart decisions when making choices about best school fit and has helped numerous families find the right school when relocating from out of state.
Carrie Lieberman
Business Director
Carrie has been consulting with Team Tutors since its inception in 2000 and officially joined the ‘Team” in 2010 to lead business operations. She has played a key role in growing the company, expanding its academic tutoring, test preparation, and consulting services, and developing both on-campus programs across Los Angeles-area schools and online offerings to complement in-person instruction.
Prior to Team Tutors, Carrie served as Vice President of Brantrock Advisors, Inc. which advised a private family foundation and related entities on securities and real estate investments. During her 10 years at Brantrock, she provided legal counsel and served as a Director of several investment partnerships.
Carrie has two sons, one in college and one in high school. She is an active school and community volunteer. She currently serves on the board for her local chapter of the Young Men’s Service League as Parliamentarian.
Carrie is a third generation Angelino. She received her B.A. from Tufts University and J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law. When not spectating at her sons’ sporting events, she enjoys being outdoors and traveling with her family.
Randy Thompson
Scheduler 7th-12th Grade
Randy has been a member of Team Tutors since 2012, and he works with our 7th-12th grade students. Prior to joining Team Tutors, he spent several years in university administration and student advisement at a top-tier private university in NYC. He was also a classroom teacher for middle and high school students at a performing arts high school.
Randy is passionate about education, and he brings an understanding that each student and family is unique and requires individual attention and care. He is a parent of two school aged children, and somehow still finds time to enjoy theater, woodworking, and scuba diving.
Savannah Bertram
Scheduler K-6th Grade and ISEE Prep
Savannah joined Team Tutors in 2013, working with Kindergarten through 6th grade students. The following year, she also began supporting students preparing for the ISEE.
Before joining Team Tutors, Savannah worked as a publishing executive in advertising and as a graphic designer specializing in television marketing and branded packaging.
In her role at Team Tutors, Savannah is dedicated to understanding each student’s individual needs and goals. She is motivated by the opportunity to connect students with tutors who can best support and inspire them. Over the years, she has had the privilege of supporting students throughout their educational journeys, from elementary school through college.
Savannah lives as an empty nester with her husband and two hairless dogs in pajamas. Outside of work, she spends time with her large family, enjoys hiking hundreds of miles with friends, and volunteers with the Food Pantry.
