Introducing Team Test Prep

Team Test Prep

Team Test Prep’s approach is simple: we capitalize on our students’ strengths and work through their weaknesses. Our curriculum is specifically designed to meet the individual needs of each student.

Private, in-home tutoring affords students the opportunity to build a lasting relationship with their tutor. With the aid of personalized study guides and materials, our tutors will cover all points of the test, including format, content, question types and tips on how to succeed.

Team Test Prep is a unique program which promotes guided, independent study. With a Team Test Prep provided checklist, students can remain on-schedule with their customized curriculum. Likewise, parents can check-in with their child's progress via the online checklist.

What’s different about Team Test Prep? Our tutors are accountable for their student’s progress, even on off-days.

What are the PSAT and the SAT?

The PSAT is a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT and gives students an opportunity to qualify for a National Merit Scholarship. The PSAT contains SAT-type questions.

The PSAT is taken in October by high school juniors (and enthusiastic sophomores).

The SAT is typically taken by high school students in the spring of their junior year and/or fall of their senior year.

It is important for students to have their SAT Reasoning Test and Subject Test scores to send with college and university applications in their senior year.

The SAT Reasoning Test is a 3-hour, 45-minute college entrance exam that assesses students' knowledge and critical thinking skills in the following subject areas:

Critical Reading
Sentence completion and passage-based reading questions

Writing
Multiple choice questions and a written essay

Mathematics
Multiple choice questions and student-produced responses
