Parents often prefer in-home tutoring for its convenience over tutoring centers. We offer additional, education-based reasons to choose in-home tutoring.

Consistency

Students make progress more quickly when they are taught in an environment that is consistent. The same tutor, the same workspace, the same pace and the same weekly schedule. In-home tutoring provides this essential component to learning. You never know who you will sitting next to at a tutoring center, or what the busy environment will be like. In order to ensure we make as much progress as possible, we make every session consistent.

We can Affect Stimuli

We will help create a distraction-free work environment in your home. Away from the kitchen, noisy siblings, televisions and computers, our program teaches students to create a workspace that is quiet and organized. Our goal is to create an environment that will promote more focused studying. Homework is done faster and students are more likely to stay on-task while studying in a workspace designed just for them.

Transitioning is Easy

No tutoring program should be designed to last forever. At the time the student becomes a self-sufficient learner, the tutor should be able to back out easily, with minimal change to the environment.

What happens when a student stops tutoring at a tutoring center? They have to re-adapt to studying in their home. All of a sudden they have to deal with distractions like siblings, television, and toys that they didn’t have to deal with before. They haven’t been taught how to deal with their own specific environment, and so their performance will suffer.

This can lead to an unending cycle where it seems like the student can only perform well with tutoring. Confidence suffers while tutoring bills rise, not because the child lacks ability, but because they haven't been properly instructed.
